What is the difference between an invoice, a quotation and a proforma invoice?
A quotation tells a customer what the work will cost before they agree. A proforma invoice is a preliminary bill sent before delivery, often for advance payment or customs. An invoice is the final bill that asks for payment.
Can I add my logo and tax number?
Yes. Open the Word or Excel file, or edit it online, and add your logo and VAT, GST or tax number in the header.
Will a template count as a valid tax invoice?
The template gives you the layout. What makes a tax invoice valid depends on your country: usually your tax number, the tax rate and amount, and sequential invoice numbers. Add whatever your tax authority requires.
