1. Files You Upload

Most tools upload your file to our servers over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, process it, and delete the temporary copies as soon as your result is sent back. Remove Background and Image to Text process images in memory without saving them to disk. Some tools run entirely in your browser — HEIC to JPG, Video to MP3, Image Upscaler, and developer tools such as the JWT decoder and hash generator — so those files never leave your device. We do not share or analyze your files, and their contents are never stored in a database.

2. Document Editor and Share Links

When you edit a Word, Excel or PDF file in the document editor, the file stays on our server while you work. It is deleted when you finish, or automatically once the 3-hour editing session expires. When you choose "Create share link" on a finished file, that file is kept in encrypted cloud storage for 1 hour so the person you send the link to can download it, and is deleted automatically afterwards. You can delete it sooner with "Delete now".

3. Information We Collect

We collect anonymous usage data such as which tools are used and approximate geographic location (country level). We do not collect names, emails, or personal identifiers unless you contact us directly.

4. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep the website functional. We may also use analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics) to understand traffic patterns. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time.

5. Third Party Services

We do not send your files to any third-party service. If you import a file from Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox, that service sends the file to FileConvy at your request. Currency conversion may use publicly available exchange rate APIs without sending any personal data.

6. Children's Privacy

FileConvy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Continued use of FileConvy after changes means you accept the updated policy.
