About this salary increment letter template
Employees need written proof of a pay rise for their records, bank loans and future job applications, and a warm letter makes the increase feel earned. This letter thanks the employee, gives the effective date, and sets out the previous salary, the increment in amount and percent, and the new salary. An optional line covers a promotion to a new designation.

Tips for increment letters
Check the percentage
Increment % = increment ÷ previous salary × 100. Use the percentage calculator to be sure.
Be specific about thanks
Naming one achievement makes the letter mean more than a standard line.
Match payroll
Make sure the new salary and effective date match the next salary slip.
Keep it confidential
Hand it over privately and file a copy in the employee's personnel record.
