Nursing recruiters check one thing before anything else: can you legally practise? So this CV puts your licence, registration number, expiry date and life-support certificates right after the summary. Then come your units, patient load and clinical skills. It works for hospital jobs at home and for applications to the UK (NMC) and the Gulf (DHA, DOH, SCFHS, QCHP), where DataFlow verification and Prometric results also matter.

How to fill in this nurse CV

Add your licence body, licence number and expiry date, and your BLS/ACLS validity.

For each job, name the unit (ICU, ER, OT, medical-surgical), bed count and your usual patient load.

Add one result per job, such as an infection audit, training you gave or a quality score.

Tips for nursing applications

Licence first

An expired or missing licence number is the most common reason a nurse CV is put aside. Keep the dates current.

Be specific about units

"ICU, 12 beds, 2–3 ventilated patients per shift" tells a recruiter far more than "worked in critical care".

Plan for the Gulf

Gulf licences need DataFlow verification and a Prometric exam. Mention progress on both.

Keep a long version ready

Some hospitals ask for a detailed CV with every rotation. Keep this one-page version for first contact.
